I‘ve come very late to the sneaker game, and save for the viral videos on YouTube, i probably never knew that the lifestyle sneaker culture was a global phenomenon; with kids making a mint from consignment deals and celebrities either endorsing or collaborating with footwear brands. I find the new wave of sneaker-heads quite interesting but i don’t see myself wearing some of the throwbacks and new designs they bandy about – however expensive they are or cool they look.
